Nobody likes getting SPAM and we enforce a strict 'NO SPAM' policy and find it unacceptable that anyone uses TextStart as a SPAM tool and will happily terminate the account of anyone using TextStart in this way and assist in their prosecution. If you feel you have been sent an unsolicited message, please contact us either by email, nospam@textstart.com or by phone (0845 838 7915).

Our clients are responsible for maintaining their own subscribers and accept our strict Terms and Conditions regarding SPAM. All of our clients know that SPAM is a violation of our Terms and Conditions and of the law. You should only receive a message if you have done one of the following three things:

1. Sent a START message to us - i.e. START BOBS or START CAFE - by text to 60066 in the UK
2. Created an account online at www.textstart.com and selected a business to receive messages from
3. Added your name to a list with the business themselves

If you didn't do any of these things and you still receive messages contact us now with your number and we will remove you from ALL lists immediately. It is possible that someone else has provided your number and we can only apologise and try to make it right as quickly as possible.

We take great care to confirm the ownership of mobile numbers registered with us online by the use of a security code that you will either receive by text or send to us from the mobile number you have registered.

You can 'opt out' of any or all lists at any time by:

1. Visiting your account page at www.textstart.com
2. Send the word QUIT followed by the keyword of the list you want to leave and sending it to 60066 in the UK ( a full list of keywords can be found on the website )
3. Delete your number from all lists by texting QUIT ALL to 60066
4. Send us an email to quit@textstart.com including your number
5. Give us a call on 0845 838 7915 and leave your name and number so we can call you back

If any of our clients is found knowingly sending unsolicited messages their account can be suspended or terminated.

From time to time you may receive messages from us directly at TextStart. Normally we send these messages by email and only when you have opened a TextStart account online - every message has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. However, sometimes it may be necessary to contact you by text message or email to let you know about important aspects or changes to the service.

If you no longer wish to receive any information from us or any of our clients simply close your TextStart account online or text QUIT ALL to 60066 and all your information will be deleted. Unfortunately, if you have signed up directly with a client business we can't stop them from contacting you directly but they won't be able to do it through TextStart.

We guarantee that your information will be treated with respect at all times. It is our policy that we will NEVER disclose, sell or rent your personal information. We also adhere to a strict NO SPAM guarantee. If you have any questions about our privacy policy or how we treat your information please do not hesitate to get in touch. What We Collect: TextStart and TextStart.com collect personal information such as but not limited to e-mail address, phone numbers and demographic information. Information is collected online via our web site or by text message. Our clients may also add mobile phone numbers

How We Use This Information: The Loyal Customer Club uses the information we collect to create and send text messages (SMS) on behalf of our clients. Each database is kept private and information collected is never sold or distributed to any outside sources.

Confidentiality / Security: We have implemented security policies, rules and technical measures to protect the personal data that we have under our control from:

• unauthorised access
• improper use or disclosure
• unauthorised modification
• unlawful destruction or accidental loss

All our employees and data processors, that have access to, and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of our visitors' personal data. We ensure that your personal data will not be disclosed to state institutions and authorities except if required by law or other regulation.

Access to the personal data we may hold about you: You can see any information we hold on you by visiting your account area on the website, alternatively, you can ask us, by:

If you choose to create a free account we will hold the information provided until you cancel or delete your account. You can edit your information, profile or other information by logging into your account. You can at any time to challenge the data that we hold about you and, where appropriate, you may have the data erased, completed, rectified or amended.

The services and links of our Web site: Where our website provides links to third party websites we cannot be held responsible for the suitability or reliability of the content on those third party sites.

Automatic Collection of Information: When you send a message via TextStart to join a business' opt-in list we will hold your mobile number securely and it will only be revealed to the business you have selected. You may also choose to create an account online at textstart.com to add your name and number to multiple opt in lists through TextStart.  Your mobile number and personal information is NEVER revealed to any business other than those you have selected.

When using TextStart.com we may automatically log data by means such as programming or link information automatically logged by such means with personal data about specific individuals. We do so for Customer Administration and Marketing purposes.

To improve your experience on this site we may use cookies to store personal data or link information stored in cookies with personal data about specific individuals. Cookies are small text files that are used to identify users and possibly prepare customized Web pages for them. Information you volunteer can be packaged into a cookie and sent to your Web browser that stores it for later use. This allows us to tailor the site and offers to your own personal preferences as well as making the site easier to use. If you would like to disable cookies you can do so from your PC or Mac browser.

Data Collection and Purpose Specification: We only collect the personal data that you may volunteer in your registration form or while using our services (this includes your mobile number when sending a SMS). This information is used only for the purposes of the service as described and you can request to see any information we hold about you at any time.

We do not collect information about our visitors from other sources, such as public records or bodies, or private organizations. We will not transit or send data we hold on you outside of the EU without your prior express consent - this consent includes you ‘opting-in’ to receive messages from a business based outside the EU.

You can choose to receive further messages at no cost to you from participating third party businesses by adding them to your account - you can alter these preferences at any time by logging in to your account or in any manner described in our No Spam Policy (above). TextStart are not responsible for the content or frequency of these messages. By selecting third party businesses either online or by sending a text message, you agree to receive promotional messages, by text, from them and that they will have access to your mobile number for this purpose.

We will NEVER sell or rent your personal information.

Unsubscribe: As a member you will receive communication from us in the form of emails and text messages (SMS) regarding your membership, terms and conditions and information about the service and website - you cannot unsubscribe from receiving this information.

You may also occasionally receive newsletters or notifications by text or email from us, if you have chosen to receive them. You can, at any time, unsubscribe from receiving newsletter or notification communications from us. To do so simply send an email to data@TextStart.com, visit your account page or follow the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of every newsletter we send you.
